Weeks 27–30

  • Finalize your birth plan
  • Take a hospital tour
  • Begin counting kick counts daily
  • Register for childbirth classes

Weeks 31–34

  • Pack your hospital bag
  • Install the car seat
  • Set up the nursery
  • Pre-register at the hospital

Weeks 35–37

  • Schedule your Group B strep test
  • Stock up on postpartum supplies
  • Prepare freezer meals
  • Review signs of labor with your provider

Weeks 38–40

  • Rest when possible
  • Keep your phone charged
  • Know when to call your doctor or head to the hospital

Babies born between 39–40 weeks are considered "full term" and generally have the best outcomes.
